DNSet

★ DNSet *DOES NOT* require ROOT privileges to run.
★ DNSet works both on Wi-Fi and 3G.
★ WARNING: the app may not work properly on Android 4.4.x(1,2,3) due to a known system bug which we are not responsible for. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
★This app work fine on Android 4.4.4This app works fine on Android 4.4.4★

DNSet sets Google's public DNS servers (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) on your device. In order to do this it creates a local VPN so you have to authorise the app once. The app quits after the VPN has been initialised, this saves space on your device's precious RAM memory.

Avoiding the ISP's DNS may help in:

* Bypassing restrictions on certain websites
* Speeding up your browsing experience

DNSet is able to start automatically at boot time. Enable the 'auto start' checkbox and a notification will appear every time you turn on your device. Just click on the notification, authorise the app et voilà, Google's DNS servers will be in use.

Many people don't trust google dns. Google DNS is stored forever. Please add other vendors and I will give you a better rating as of now I am removing it from my phone

My WiFi was as slow as dog **** on my samsung galaxy s6 edge after getting xfinity WiFi 50 mbps but fast on computers and all non android devices. Wierd. Burned through data on my phone and looked this up on a forum. Took a chance, downloaded this, and couldn't believe it worked. I have my phone back for WiFi use in my home again. As easy as pressing a button and closing/ restarting any open apps. Perfect! *EDIT* Bumping this down a star because I can't send text while its active.

Got a new Nexus 7 to replace one with a cracked screen and Lollipop 5.1 installed. Internet speed seemed horrible, pages taking over a minute to load. I tried all sorts of things which sped up my Nexus but did not resolve the wifi problem. I used a speed test and found my internet speed was more than fast. It finally occurred to me that it was might be the DNS. WOW! Tremendous difference minutes turned into seconds. Awsome!
