★ Known Issues ★
1. Our custom systems cannot include both WiFi and IR devices.
2. Streaming doesn't work on Samsung Tizen 2015 TVs.
3. Notification widget currently only works for IR TVs, streamers and STBs .
★ User Permissions ★
We have a strict privacy policy (see the web site link below), with no unauthorized access to user data, and no sign-in required to operate the remote control. When installing we ask user permissions for the following:
1. Identity - for billing in case you want to subscribe to the ad-free version
2. Location - only course location is used (not GPS). For advertising and future IoT
3. Photos/Media/Files - for streaming from the phone to a Smart TV.
4. Microphone - access to the microphone for voice commands in a smart TV
5. WiFi - for connecting to a Smart TV
6. Device ID & Call Info - for muting a Smart TV when your phone rings (enabled via settings)

It just works. I love it. However: I just knocked off two stars because after demo-ing and then purchasing the app to get rid of advertising, there is still a very large ad-space or rectangle on the control interface which serves no purpose and steals GUI room - which means the remote's buttons are smaller and less useful. I thought I paid my "1 year subscription fee" to change that scenario? Fix your app, guys - a smart phone has too little real estate for you to waste it on needless crap.

I have a Panasonic TV from probably 2009. I tried 2 Panasonic apps and another generic one before trying this one, and it worked beautifully within a minute of download. I've been using my galaxy 5 as a remote since I got it, but never directly on my TV (got rid of cable box) so I knew it should work. So thanks for a no BS app that keeps me from being infuriated over my teen losing the remote.

Very nice data base, can benefit from better screen space organization, and wake on shake doesn't work on my note 3 with kitkat, screen just goes on for a second and off again, not a big deal. Good work, can be better easily.

Works fine for tv but not the cable box so I cannot access the guide. Thanks for the quick reply. Yes I did set up the box (Cox) but none of the options work & I tried all of them. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. I'll try the instructions for "systems" Tried everything & Cox set top box does not work at all
